1. What is Compass & Bloom?

Compass & Bloom is a counseling and wellness space offering therapy for youth (ages 10–18), parent support, and school-based programming. We provide services grounded in compassion, cultural responsiveness, and whole-person care.

2. Who do you work with?

We work primarily with middle and high school students and their families. We also partner with schools and community organizations to provide group sessions, workshops, and student programming.

3. What issues do you help with?

We support clients with:

Anxiety, stress, and self-esteem

School adjustment, peer issues, and motivation

Grief, identity, family changes, and more
Each client’s experience is unique, and our work is always tailored to their needs.

4. Are your services private or school-based?

Compass & Bloom operates independently from any school system. While we partner with schools through programs or referrals, services are offered privately through scheduled sessions.

5. Are you a licensed therapist?

I am a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia, working under supervision toward full licensure. My supervisor is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and oversees the clinical work at Compass & Bloom.

6. Can I work with you if I’m an LCPS student?

Due to ethical guidelines, I do not see students from my assigned school for private counseling services. However, LCPS students may be eligible for services if they attend a different school, or through our school-wide programs or group services.

7. Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes! We offer both virtual and in-person sessions depending on your needs and availability. We’ll work together to choose the best fit.

8. Do you take insurance?

Not at this time. Services are offered as private pay, but we can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement if your insurance allows.

9. How much do sessions cost?

Rates vary depending on the service (individual counseling, family support, school programming). Please reach out directly for current rates and availability.
